Thumbs down Should I buy a Kyocera 7135

I got used to a combined palm/phone w/ the old 6035. So, a year or so ago, I bought a 7135 when it first came out. But, I returned it because I wasn't impressed with voice quality or battery life. Eventually, I bought a Samsung i500 and moved my services to Sprint.

Now, I find that three places I often go to can only receive VZW digital; so, I've ported my number back to VZW. I bought a V710 because it seemed to be the latest and greatest. I'm equally unimpressed with the V710. I miss the palm/phone combo. I don't use mp3's, haven't tried bluetooth earpieces and the much touted megapixel camera works poorly indoors. As a phone, its not that impressive either. The volume is lame, as is the battery and the menu is a pain. RF and screen are nice.

I'm reluctant to go w/ the Kyocera 7135 because its so outdated, especially the browser functionality. I don't care for the qwerty keyboard and prefer a stylus vs. the i600.

Sooooo, if I get a Kyocera 7135, what are the pros and cons I need to take into account...since I only kept my original two weeks, I'm sure there are vereran users out there who've figured it all out!

Thanks for your opinions.

the partners at work have the 7135 and all had battery recalls- I don't think the call quality is great, its okay, not great like other kyocera phones I have had. Also, like other pda's it crashes, but the bigger problem I thought was that is was shipped with the older palm os- it cannot accept os 5....nice screen to play GIN games on though!!

Have you considered the Treo? I'd stay away from the 7135, too many software issues.
