I noticed the one ringtone website that plays the tones it wants to sell, plays them as mpegs. So I used Windows Recorder and recorded it as a wav. I assume I can now use Nero to convert it to an mpeg and walla.......free ringtone.

Read on another website, tones are kept in Midi format. Free midi's are very easy to find and I already found a few. Gooing to search for free bitmaps in the correct format.
