Default How to reset Kyocera SE47 to factory default settings

Hi Tony E,

I was able to rest my phone, but, the reset option has no effect on my personal settings e.g. Color, Sound. It seems it has inactivated my phone (which you have already warned me about) only. So I programmed it again by dialing *228, option 1, and everything is back to normal.

Thank you very much

I have the Slider but it was programmed by Virgin and I am trying to transfer my Verizon account onto it. It 'seems' to have worked but it is still running off the Virgin software. Will that reset work for me? When I hit *228, operator tells me I can't make this call.

Your Virgin Molbile Slider will work on Verizon network but i will not support Gin apps.
The software needs to be flashed by Verizon, resetting it will not do.

I took it too Verizon and they said there is nothing they can do. Am I going to end up hacking into this thing to make it let me download tones and rings?? It's weird, I can send text messages but I don't have anything in my outbox(probably because it's still managed by the Virgin software). It's on my Verizon account and I can make calls but, you know when you are local, you can just type in the phone number to make a call? You know when you are out of your local area, you have to include an area code? The guy I bought phone from lives an hour away and when I make a local call, I have to enter an area code first.

yes i know exactly what you mean, those are the disavantages of using a phone without the appropriate software to support it, many if not all have not had much success in flashing a VM Slider by Verizon.

Default How to reset Kyocera SE47 to factory default settings

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..................AAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Just reprogrammed a Virgin Kyocera Slider phone and everything works. Pretty much everyone is right, here is what you do(probably be nice to make some sort of sticky)

1. Enter 111111, then "ok"
2. Select "Programming" and type in either 867664 or 868666. The first numbers represent "VIRGIN" but when I got home from the guy from Verizon messing with my phone, I had to enter the second number.
3. Select "Service Sec" and change that number to 000000
4. Here is the kicker, *228 WON'T do it for you, you have to enter *22801 or *22802, depending on whether you are on the A or B network. Obviously, just try both until one works. Done.

After Verizon programmed my phone, I got all my text messages and I didn't need to enter an area code.
