Default Question about SE 44 Slider

I have an Alltel SE 44 Slider. Today my phone beeped and when I looked at the menu it said I missed a call. When I looked at the missed call log, it said "restricted" where it would normally list the phone number.

What does this mean? Does it mean that the person calling did not want their caller id to show up, or is there something else that resticts a call to my phone?

Thanks for any clarity that anyone could bring to this situation for me.

I'm pretty sure it was just a private number or someone *67'ing you or something. Maybe try calling your phone from your house just to make sure, but I'm pretty sure that's the reason .

Well, when I was in Mexico, and my phone was roaming, when someone called it said, "Restricted." Weird..

it's just someone calling you that has a blocked number, when you recieve a call from such, it will show up as "restricted".......

it could also mean the person that called you was routed through a trunk line that does not support CID.
