Yes, I know this is a Motorola forum...but actually seems to be more of a Verizon forum then Motorola.....Anywho... Anyone in the know, know if Verizon is even looking at the Kyocera SE47 slider? It is CDMA, and Brew...what else do they need? It is a tight looking phone..and the closest I have seen a CDMA phone come to a GSM phone in terms of design. http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?id=322

I hope you are right Cop....maybe if it is very successful with a large carrier like Verizon, it will inspire some of the manufactures to design some GSM type phones....or at least make some of their GSM phones cross over to CDMA. Phonescoop didn't list Verizon as one of the carriers of the phone....again, hopefully you are right.

Cop: I'm hoping you're right. I would love to see a new, fresh line up of phones for Verizon .

... and you know what? Kyocera makes some GREAT electronic items including cell phones and youd think theyd make some sicker phones considering theyre QUALCOMM owned... i guess theyve been putting all the "scraps" and pieces into their 2xxx series hence theyre always made an entry level phone. I hope with the new Blade and SLider series that QUALCOMM puts more time in their new product rather than making chipsets for everyone else (CDMA) and Well, since samsung ,moto and nokia are now making their new chipsets... KYO might invest some time into their product...

As long as they come out more interesting than the 2325. Talk about boring. That slider looks interesting...

In October, I will be 10 months into my 1 year contract...so my understanding is I will be able to get a new phone at a discount, with an additional commitment....pretty much just like a new customer. Was thinking about the VX6000....but if the Slider gets picked up by Verizon I may want that one instead. Question for the VZW guys....if you go past your contract date...for me 12 months and one day....are you still eligible for a discounted price on a new phone? |
