I would like to get the Kyocera desktop software from anyone who might share it. I tried downloading the update but it won't install it without a previous installation and I don't have a clue how to hack the update

Any Mac users? I’ve got a Belkin USB/Serial adapter plugged into the Kyo data cable. But Kyo desktop 2 won’t see anything but the COM ports of VPC 4 even tho VPC is showing the USB port. And I can’t seem to get the Belkin to any of the COM ports. Ideas? The cable is good as I got the phone to dial from my Palm. |

Hello, all. Yes, I, too, bought the data cable from ebay, thinking that the kyocera desktop software would be there. What a concept! Could any kind soul email me the original version @ loreaxe@yahoo.com? As a side note, does anyone know if the address book is stored on the kyocera, or any phone, for that matter, in nonproprietary format, such as xml? Would make matters simpler to glean pertinent info via parser. Anybody synching their kyocera w/ linux? I've got a 2255 and want to use it as a modem for my zaurus (pda).... |

| http://www.actingresource.com/1/KyoceraPhoneDesktop.exe You can get version 1 of the Kyocera Desktop Software from the above link. After you download it from there you need to upgrade from the Kyocera websight. |
