Okay, press the 1 key six times. (111111), option will come up on the menu, press the menu key to select option. You will now have five options: Version-select this option to view ESN and PRL # as well as Software version Programming- use this option to program NAM default security code is (000000) Once into programming you will have these options ESN- view esn Basic Nam1 info- Extra Nam1 infor Rental timer SMS setting Phone Model Slot Cycle Index Service Sec. Code Debug- Default Code is (000000) EVRC Setting MOSMS Debug Browser Set-up The only problem with this set-up many carriers will have their own six digit security codes, and they often do not want to share.

The field debug code for the Kyocera 2255 is 040793. Not sure if it's the same on other Kyoceras.

Which phone do you use. All service providers have two programming codes for their phones. THere is one that will only allow you to access the programming menu three times and then it logs you out. For my phone, the "backdoor" code that will allow you to access the phone once you have been locked out is 868666. I hope this helps!

Question: I have tried to use the sub-lock code given to me by the seller. No Joy. I have a Kyocera 6035. The dialog box when I enter the code says " Incorrect Service Programming Code". Which I is analogous to . In any event, any help will be appreciated. Thanks. Neal |

Just got a Kyocera 5135 from Bell Mobility. The problem is right in the middle of my programming (followed all the instructions to a tee), the phone pooped out on me (i.e. after doing the 11-1111 and hitting OK on options, programming, entering the 6 digit security code provided by the call center agent, validating the ESN, the Nam 1 info was NOT on the scroll down list). I kept scrolling back and forth and it wasn't showing up. I tried turning it off and going back with the same security code, but this time, I got the phone turned off (the hourglass was showing). Doing some digging on the net, I saw some postings that said that all SPs typically have 2 programming codes for their phones (one that will only allow the user to access the programming menu 3 times and then it logs out the user - which I suspect is the one that I got - and the second one, which is a "backdoor" code that will allow a user to access the phone once he has been locked out). Is this in fact true? If so, what is the "backdoor" code for the Kyocera 5135? Any help will be appreciated... thanks! |

I have a kyocera 2255 and I need help in getting it to work. I've tired putting in the 868666 for the security code, and it took me to the programing. Once i'm in the phone is still not working showing that it cannot decect the service. Do you have any advice, or any other numbers that I have to put in so that it can work???? Please help....thanks..

I have tried the exact same procedure to no avail. I have read elsewhere of so called "backdoor" codes that have no effect. I am led to believe the codes are specific to an area moreover the provider, it may even be dependant on whether you are "pay as you go" or on a rate plan. If you hear anything, please let me know, I would be interested in obtaining these codes for my own educational purposes. |

Apologies. This is in reply to an article regarding numerous failed attempts of trying to get into Programming via Security Code on a Kyocera 5135. 000000 failed and so did a number of other "backdoor" codes.
