My daughter is starting college there next month. Im looking for the most afforable, simple wireless option that would allow her to make calls both there and back to the states (Wisconsin.) Buy a local plan there and use Skype? Buy a local plan and use an IP phone? Use a sim card? There does not seem to be a simple solution - but I could well be missing something. Thank you!

Why not do both cell phone and Skype? Cell phone when out and Skype when at the Computer. I think Petro-Canada offers the best deal for prepaid service. It runs as a MVNO under Rogers. Petro-Canada buys airtime from Rogers at a discount and resells it under their owm name. Verizon offers a nationwide plus Canada plan. You have to do a bit digging on their website, but it is there. |
