Default Blackberry 8100
I just recently came into possesion of a Rogers BB 8100. After I have unlocked it, do I have to buy a new SIM card and where do I get a new number from?

Yes, after you decide which carrier you wish to go with, provided it is a GSM carrier like Rogers/Fido, AT&T and T-Mobile for example.

You cannot use the phone with Bell, Telus, Verizon, Sprint, Alltel, USCellular, MetroPCS, or Cricket, as they use a completely different network technology (CDMA), which is incompatible with GSM.
