i have unlimited Verizon txting but i have a Question about it..

are you allowed to text and receive texts from other countries with out any extra charges?
my friend who 'claimed to be in austria' at the time (which i dont beleive) she was texting me. we exhchanged about 15 texts.
b/c my dad said we werent charged extra and he siad he didnt sign up for internaitonal txting does that mean she really wasnt in austria? or does the unlimited texting incliude it all?

If you sent the text to a USA based phone number, to an email, to an IM, you will not face any additional fees. The other person's location doesn't affect what you pay. if the number is an Austrian number, that would be fees of $0.25 per sent message and $0.20 per received message. Also, you don't have to sign up for international messaging, it is usually included by default by the carriers. So the other person could have been in Austria depending on the phone he/she was using.
