This compares with half that for my mobile in the UK.
It may be more economic to purchase a sim in the US on arrival?
Any comments on that please. Do all sims work everywhere in the US where your phone will work? I guess so, so any sim will do?
I would expect a good response here.
I will take the T-mobile one as I can be sure all is well before I leave and if we need it immediately on landing if our lift does not turn up!
Thanks for all the time & advice, it's been electrifying.
Colin | Basically there are two GSM national operators here AT&T and T-Mobile. You should be able to get either an AT&T or T-Mobile pay as you go card from either company's corporate stores. I don't know about AT&T but with T-Mobile you can get a starter PAYG card for $10 which includes just enough time to configure the voicemail. You'll need to purchase refill vouchers to topup the account (available in lots of different places.)
