Secondly, where are you in Canada? Without more information, we can't give you a recommendation.

| From what I know, you are in the perfect place for ALL of the Canadian carriers. It really depends on which carrier offers the best monthly plans, phone selection, and features you're looking for. If you go with Rogers or Fido, they operate on the GSM network, like AT&T and T-Mobile do here in the U.S. If you go with Telus or Bell, they are on a CDMA network, like Sprint and Verizon. Each has their strengths and weaknesses. Rogers and Fido have a nicer phone selection because GSM is the dominant network technology around the world. Larger market for phones. Telus has a walkie-talkie service on their network (like Nextel) called "MIKE". You might want to check out their sites to see get a feel for what all of them offer. Check if they have a coverage feature to see how good your service really will be in Toronto. Rogers is the largest carrier in Canada, and they own Fido as well. Telus and Bell Mobility aren't far behind. I live in California, so I can't give you a true review of their services, so hopefully a fellow Canadian can give you more details on the goods and bads of Canada's Big 4.
