Now if you have Verizon service and have the "World Edition" BB, that's a whole different story. Verizon's "World Phones" roam exclusively with Vodafone (40%ish owner of VZW, by the way). For whom they would roam on in countries that do not have Vodafone, you would have to call VZW for that info. I answered your post in a similar thread in the AT&T Wireless forum. I guessed you already had AT&T service and answered accordingly. If it is Verizon you have, I still suggest calling them to find out how much it could REALLY cost you. Verizon's roaming rates for regular call in Europe are hideously expensive. I can't imagine how much data would cost, but you can bet it won't be cheap.

Without mentioning the country, I think your best bet would be T-Mobile. Take a look at T-Mobile International - Home to see where they operate in Europe.

Vodafone might be a better option actually, they operate in more countries than T-Mobile I believe.

Images: 49 | id research into it with people taht live over where your going if you know anyone. often times there is a communication gap between the US and the rest of the world and its hard to make suggestions. my biggest recommendation is for you to get a prepaid account while over there from the providers there, it generally ends up cheaper if your going to be there for awhile.

If you are going to the UK let me know and I can give you some specific advice or more general advice on Europe as a whole if you won't be in the UK.

| AT&T has no presence in Europe. You need to use a partner network that has a roaming agreement with AT&T. Depending where you go in Europe there are all sorts of networks including T-Mobile, Vodafone, Orange, O2 and other networks specific to countries like Telfort in the Netherlands, Bouyges in France, Telefonica in Spain and so forth. Most all of these networks usually have roaming agreements with AT&T and also have roaming agreements with T-Mobile USA as well. I think at present AT&T has a few more roaming agreements, but T-Mobile USA actually was the first with the most agreements since AT&T wasn't even a GSM operator until 2002.

IT all really depends on where your going in Europe, Mexico, Canada. If Canada i would say Telus. If Europe i would say Orange. good luck |

See you guys in USA look at it as "European carriers".. just remember that if you get T-Mobile UK prepaid and you go to Germany, just because it displays "T-Mobile" doesn't mean you're on home network.. it's gonna be roaming... and also there are many countries without T-Mobile and without Orange... so specifics.. what country are you going to... you can't say 'In Europe I suggest blah blah blah" 'cos there is NO operator that operates in whole Europe..
