I have a T-Mobile Blackberry (unlocked) from the US and I want to use it in Israel. When I put the local Israeli GSM chip (Orange) from my Nokia 6600 into the Blackberry, I have no problem making a telephone call. But I can't send data. The letters "gprs" in the upper right hand of the screen stay lower-case, and it tells that the data connection isn't working. (when it works in the US, the letters "GPRS" are capital letters and the data connection works. Anybody have any experience with this?

Did you set up a GPRS access point for Orange Israel?

Orange and Cellcom have had GPRS running for several years. I suggest that you visit an Orange store and ask them for the GPRS set up instructions. |
