Hello,
First of all, i'm kind of newbie when its time to talk about wireless internet. I just wanna know how it works..
I'll explain.. I have a laptop and I have also a cell (Audiovox CDM-8300) which got the 1X feature? Now, I bought a cable to connect those 2 things together. Let me know if I'm wrong. I don't know if you know the service providers in Canada, but I'm with Telus (
www.telus.com). I'm on the "Pay&Talk" which is a plan that works with cards. I pay 25$ to get the unlimited evenings and weekends calls. All I need to do is to plug the cable and install the software I assume. But how can I connect.. Do I need to add a service to my account? You talk about Quick2Net or something. Does the phone act as a normal modem? If I already have a dial-up ISP, will I be able to dial to a local number to connect with my cell ? Does it works by minutes or data transfer? Will I get charged if Im using it only in the evening and Im on the unlimited evening calls?
