Press Release Source: IntelliOne IntelliOne Selected By Rogers Wireless to Launch Live!Traffic(TM) Thursday November 8, 8:00 am ET Canada to be First with Nationwide Live Traffic Network TORONTO and ATLANTA, Nov. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- IntelliOne, the premier traffic information company that measures speed instantly on virtually all roadways, today announced an agreement to provide Rogers Wireless with Live!Traffic and Mobile Location Services across Canada. IntelliOne's breakthrough, patented technology converts ordinary mobile phone network data into highly accurate traffic congestion information. Live!Traffic, updated every thirty seconds, will also be made available to transportation, media, fleet and personal navigation channels. Mobile Location Services include: -- TrafficAid®: access to "always-on" traffic advice, personalized to each user's commutes, routes and location then delivered through the Web and mobile phone. -- Student Safety: parents access Web maps showing mobile phone positions on demand and automated Text Message alerts to monitor the safety of their children. -- Mobile Enterprise: available for all business mobile phones or devices, historical and current positions of each handset may be viewed on Web maps, drivers dynamically re-routed around traffic and automated Text Message alerts received for movement outside of designated areas. "We are pleased to have been selected by Rogers Wireless to deploy our solutions which will reduce the frustration of driving in traffic," says IntelliOne's Managing Director for Canada, Bill Tapscott. "And, with our platform supporting every mobile phone without the need to upgrade to GPS, we believe the new service offerings will be very well-received by consumers and businesses alike." A government study released in March, 2006, by Canada's Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, showed the costs of traffic congestion to Canadians in urban areas is between $2.3 and $3.7 billion per year (in 2002 dollar values). The report also states this is a conservative estimate as it did not include non-recurrent congestion caused by random events such as bad weather, accidents and other incidents. About IntelliOne IntelliOne's breakthrough technology and turnkey approach is enabling mobile network operators around the world with high-value, high-demand personalized traffic advice and mobile location services to consumers through Web, mobile phone and IPTV (three screen) applications.
