The highly-anticipated, next generation MOTORAZR is sleeker, stronger and smarter
VANCOUVER, Nov. 5 /CNW/ - TELUS and Motorola today announced the first Canadian availability of the CDMA MOTORAZR2. The RAZR2 V9m is the next generation of the revolutionary MOTORAZR, bringing together brains and beauty with a full SPARK service line-up along with the elegant styling synonymous with the RAZR.

"The RAZR2 gives TELUS clients the best of both worlds by blending features rich in style, technology and entertainment and the power of the largest and fastest network available to Canadians across the country," said Stephen Ospalak, TELUS vice-president of Subscriber Equipment. "TELUS is constantly looking for the hottest new mobile devices to bring our clients our SPARK services. Featuring access to television, radio and downloadable music and video and packaged with a stereo headset, data cable and 1GB memory card for storing up to 1,000 songs, the RAZR2 is ideal for staying entertained on-the-go."

This powerful multimedia device is designed to provide clients with superior wireless technology and entertainment. Building on the popular MOTORAZR, the RAZR2 features an even slimmer design, similar keypad, large dual high resolution displays with increased brightness and resolution, scratch resistant glass, cast aluminium hinging, and best-in-class durability under extreme bend and torque testing. With the external screen, which is the largest of its kind, and touch-sensitive controls with vibrational response, the RAZR2 enables users to easily make calls, read text messages and play music without opening the flip.

"It's hard to imagine taking the world's best-selling feature phone and making it even better," says Glenn Kennedy, sales manager, Motorola Canada. "But that's exactly what we've done with the launch RAZR2. The MOTORAZR2 V9m is a show stopper equipped with an array of desirable features including advanced imaging capabilities and stereo Bluetooth(R) technology, for an incredible wire-free music experience."

TELUS Mobile Music delivers downloadable songs from a wide variety of genres from the world's biggest music labels as well as independent labels. When the need to hear a song strikes, clients can download it instantly to their MOTORAZR2 V9m wherever they are throughout TELUS' extensive digital coverage area. TELUS Mobile Music enables clients to either purchase songs on a pay-per-use basis or get access to all the songs they want with the TELUS mobile music subscription service. Clients can also use their TELUS Mobile Music-capable phone to play MP3s from their personal music collection.

The RAZR2 keeps clients further entertained with TELUS Mobile TV for access to 25 real-time TV channels, and TELUS Mobile Radio, which provides access to 22 stations of streaming radio programming powered by XM Canada featuring 100 per cent commercial-free music and the best in comedy, talk and entertainment. With access to Windows Live Messenger, clients can constantly stay up-to-date with friends and family.

To complement the entertainment experience, the RAZR2 features a microSD memory slot, expandable up to 2GB for storing up to 2,000 songs, Bluetooth(R) wireless technology for use with hands-free accessories and transfer of non-copyright protected data files, and a 2.0 megapixel digital camera with video capabilities.

For ultimate enjoyment of TELUS multimedia SPARK services, the RAZR2 comes packaged with a stereo headset, data cable, mini-to-micro USB adapter, Motorola Mobile Phone Tools software and 1GB microSD memory card. The RAZR2 is now available at TELUS retail stores for as low as $249.99 on a three-year contract or $499.99 without a contract.
