Press Release Source: BELL CANADA; BELL MOBILITY; CINEPLEX ENTERTAINMENT LP Bell and Cineplex Entertainment launch Mobile Movie Ticketing Thursday October 25, 9:32 am ET Mobile transaction capability adds ticket charges to a client's regular monthly invoice TORONTO, Ontario, Oct. 25 /CNW Telbec/ - Bell and Cineplex Entertainment today announced that Bell Mobility clients can purchase movie tickets for Cineplex Entertainment theatres across Canada directly from their mobile phones, with charges simply added to a client's regular monthly invoice. "The Mobile Movie Ticketing service we are now offering with Cineplex Entertainment is an example of the wide variety of mobile transactions clients will soon be able to perform on their wireless phones," said Adel Bazerghi, Vice President, Products for Bell Mobility. "Our clients now have the convenience of purchasing tickets in advance from their phones, wherever they may be." "Our theatre guests can now bypass the box office using Bell's mobile movie ticketing service, which is offered exclusively at Cineplex Entertainment theatres across Canada," said Pat Marshall, Vice President, Communications and Investor Relations, Cineplex Entertainment. "For the first time ever, clients can look up the movie they want to see, find the theatre location closest to them and purchase their tickets on their Bell Mobility phones." To buy tickets with Mobile Movie Ticketing, Bell Mobility clients simply send a free text message with the word 'tickets' to short code JUMP (5867). Bell will send back a web alert with a link to the purchase page. Charges will appear on the client's Bell Mobility invoice, including ticket costs and convenience fees. Upon purchase, a mobile ticket - in the form of a bar code image - is sent to the client's phone. On arrival at the Cineplex theatre, the client scans the bar code image at a scanning kiosk beyond the box office area and receives tickets for entry into the auditorium. The Mobile Movie Ticketing service is made possible by a new technology from Calgary-based RepeatSeat Inc., a leading global entertainment services company offering private label ticketing in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.
