AskMeNow Launches Free SMS Service Throughout Canada Customers Can Now Receive Free Answers to Any Question From Their Cell Phones. AskMeNow today announced it has launched a free SMS service on the Short Code ASKME (27563) in Canada across all major wireless networks in cooperation with Bell Mobility, Rogers Wireless, SaskTel, and TELUS Mobility. For the first time, Canadian customers will be able to ask any question, on any topic from their mobile phone and get an answer absolutely free. In addition, they will have free access to the most popular content including Directory Assistance, Weather, Sports, Directions, Movie Theatres & Locations, News, Horoscopes, Stock Quotes, Flight & Hotel Information and the Daily Word, Joke and Quote. "By removing the cost factor, we eliminate the largest barrier to adoption and encourage high volume usage," said Darryl Cohen, AskMeNow CEO. "Canada is the first country in the world where we offer our service completely free to wireless customers nationwide." The SMS service leverages AskMeNow's proprietary and popular natural language question system, so users can ask their questions any way they want. The result is a specific and accurate answer to any question. AskMeNow customers in Canada can start using the free ASKME SMS service today by simply texting their question to 27563 (ASKME). No registration is necessary. Additionally, Canadian customers can opt-in for a variety of informative and entertaining daily and alert based content pushes from many of AskMeNow's brand name content partners. To sign up for these messages, users can register at AskMeNow Search – Because You Shouldn’t Have to Search or by texting in the related keyword.
