Ok everyone I am completley sick of my rates for my global sim card, and I was wondering if any of you guys knew a carrier with some pretty cheap rates. I also just received an old phone, a Nokia 3595, and i was wondering if after being unlocked would the phone work with the sim card in say, europe?

The 3595 is a GSM 850/1900 phone so it would be a paperweight here in Europe. As for a global SIM card, have a look here: http://www.prepaidgsm.net/en/international.html

For europe/asia use or any use outside USA you need a phone with the 900/1800 bands, if you will be using it with Cingular you need one with 850/1900, for tmobile you only need the 1900 band. You can choose a triband or quadband depending on your needs. Just note that most of the tribands sold here are 850/1800/1900, and the ones sold in most other countries are 900/1800/1900. Quote:

T-Mobile has 850 roaming now. You need a quad-band phone.
