Anybody happy with their cell plan that gives them a home calling area in Western WA and Vancouver/Victoria. I have US ATT - I can pick up "home" signal on the ferry just off the dock at Tsawassen, otherwise I'm roaming in BC. ATT's US website mentions Canada add-on coverage when I search their press releases, but I can't find it on the account management part of the website, so I don't know cost/availability. Rogers website allows me to select a North American plan with no roaming/long distance charges in US or Canada, but wants a Canadian address to sign up. Any ideas? |

Your only option other than roaming, I'm afraid, is to add AT&T Canada Calling to an AT&T Digital OneRate plan. This costs $20 per month, on top of the already expensive plans. You might consider buying a prepaid phone in Canada. Telus Mobility seems to have pretty good deals; you can buy a starter package including a refurbished Motorola CDMA phone and a $50 card to get you started for only $69 on their Web site (and presumably retail locations as well). Good luck! |
