Schmu, are you saying that if I bought a Samsung A500 off Ebay, you would be unlock it to use on Sasktel Mobility?

By the way I am Schmu I now changed my name......and Yes I can get you phone to work if you bought it on EBAY as long as it is CDMA. However I have had very little luck getting SPC codes from Sprint, but if it is a bell phone no problem. Canadian for sure, but American phones I would have to try.

K, thanks for the heads up Mysterio. I'll see what I can find on Ebay first. I don't suppose you have any hook ups getting a cheaper A500 do you? Cause the price Sasktel wants is too rich for my blood.

Also, I was told that the A520 from Telus would work on Sasktel Mobility if it was unlocked. Is that true or not? Any information you've got would be greatly appreciated.

I don't really have any connections to get you a cheaper phone, but I can suggest someone in Saskatoon, who can definately help you get your phone activated, quick and easy. He is really good, and efficient so go and see Bryce Schmuland at Prairie Mobile Communications on 8th street you can reach him at (800)257-9213. And as for the A-520 from Telus it will work fine However it will only work Digital in Saskatoon, and Regina everywhere else it will only work Analog, and that means you battery life will suck. Especially cause its a color phone, the battery is not great to start with. I reccomend trying to find a Bell Mobility, or Verizon A-500 hop that helps..

K, thanks for all the info. Mysterio. I'll be sure to stop by Prairie Mobile if I'm ever in Saskatoon and I need some help with a cell phone. I'm from Regina, so it's not often that I'm up there, but I know where to go if I ever am.

Hey is that a Bell Mobilty Phone? I just called Bell and they said that that ESN has no lock code. So either its not bell or good news is that your code is 000000 thats six zero's try that, and if it does not work. Find out what provider it came from.

My phone is a Sprint PCS phone. I called Sprint PCS and they wouldn't give me a lock code for the phone because I am not using their network.

Sorry, I should have told you I have already spoken with Bell Mobility

When I spoke with Bell they did a search on my ESN number for a lock code and they were unable to find one.

I am not too shure if my phone is unlocked. If you know how I can check please let me know.

You were missing an "*" between 8 & 1

I found programming instructions on the web

I got as far as step 3 and I saw the LOCK Code menu, entered "000000" hit "OK" and I received an invalid lock code message.
