Telus Mobility coverage in Sherwood Park, AB?

Hi folks,

My wife and I just got home with our cell phones from Telus (the Big Deal promotion). Motorola V120's. We live in Sherwood Park.

We tried calling each other from seperate rooms and the calls disconnected almost immediately. The network indicator only shows 1 tick. Can that be right? We arent exactly out in the boonies here, and this is Telus!

If it's true that the coverage doesnt cover our home or home area the way their map shows, can I cancel the contract on grounds of misrepresentation? This is goofy.

Well if your Motorola phone doesnt work, is there any chance you are selling them? I really need to buy one and being a student in UofA I cant afford a new one! If its possible do let me know on kewlchokri@hotmail.com

I am having the exact same problem with Telus and I actually live in the Edmonton Area. I have contacted them to see if they will let me back out of my 2 year contract. I live in NorthEast edmonton and majority of the time I can't dial out and if I can the call usually gets dropped or reception is so bad that I have to call the other person back on my home phone. I have had my phone replaced twice as well and still am having the same problem so I am pretty well convinced that the problem is not with my phone.

I use to be with Rogers and had a really cheap phone yet I never had one dropped calls. I will go back to Rogers AT&T anytime!
