For my inaugural post on this board....I was wondering if you could help me out. My friend recently got a new cell phone, which then redered his collection of data cables for his Verizon LG VX4400 cell phone useless. Luckily for me, I have that exact phone and he just gave me all of his cords and chargers in a bag and said "Merry Christmas" The problem is...he didn't give me the software that goes with it. So when I connected my LG VX4400 phone to my computer (via USB) -- it recognized it, but it said I needed to install the program. Is there a site where I can download the program to get this to work? When I plugged it in...it said: "This wizard will help you install software for: Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM" I'm using Windows XP on a Dell Insprion 4000 laptop, if that info helps at all Thanks in advance for your help! |

Susteen.com or call 949-789-8200. I believe their 800 number is 800-851-6734.

Well, I got it all figured out. Turns out the software that I was looking for was from "FUTUREDIAL" and it was their "SnapDialer/SnapSync Combo Pack" I was able to track down my friend who gave it to me and the only issue was that I had to register it to get it to work, so it doesn't look like there's any way to scam fake registration (if you're into that sorta thing). So it's working now (I'm using my cell phone to connect right now)...but the problem I'm having is that the cell phone connects at 115 kbps (which if my math is correct, that's twice the speed of a 56k modem), however...it doesn't seem to be going any faster, maybe even SLOWER than a 56k modem. Now, I used to have dial-up with this computer and since then I've upgraded memory and now the laptop is about as fast as it can get (Windows XP Professional, Intel Pent. III, 701MHz, 512 MB of RAM) .... Anyone have any idea why this would be pretty slow? I thought maybe since I was using the new Netscape (which has a LOT of extra, weather, webmail etc.)...so I've been using the basic Internet Explorer in hopes of speeding things up, but no luck. Any suggestions/tips on how to make this go a little faster? |

The phone's only going to give you up to 115k. You could switch to Firefox and start using Adblock so you don't have to download as many ads. Or just block pictures altogether. |
