For $10.00 you get unlimited IN txt/pix/flix + 250 txt/pix/flix to anywhere else. For $15.00 you get unlimited IN txt/pix/flix + 500 txt/pix/flix to anywhere else How many of you guys would find this type of text/pix/flix package appealing?

I am grateful to Verizon for their efforts in bringing Cingular prices back down to Earth.

Not I. While I generally do TXT "IN" people, I use about 4 TXTs a month.

Good idea....people on boards have been begging for this. I think it's a good idea. I text Verizon and T-Mobile mostly. I'd rather have 500 texts to anyone for 5.00 though. Why in god's name are texting plans so expensive? I had 500 texts for 5$ with Verizon in 2003.....yet nothing beats that in 2005?

I personally prefer free incoming SMS, a la AT&T.

I don't know that my in-laws would get this on their FS. They use a lot of their txts for notifications of sports scores. I don't ever use txts and a friend of mine most txts people in New Zealand.

This is great since it also includes Unlimited PIX to All Verizon customers. So it says that you have, say for $4.99 50 SMS/PIX/FLIX to everyone else. Does that mean that I can send 25 PIX to everyone else and 25 SMS? That would be cool!

I can understand you perfectly. It really makes no sense to spend money and get the same service or less. About the phones, though, you can get the free phones and you can always unlock yours and put the new SIMs in them. However, this is only worth considering if there was a good incentive for you to migrate. I believe that in the end, blue plans will be duplicated in the orange side to get the remaining blue customers to migrate over, or else Cingular will be forever having two different web pages to send SMS, two different online account managers, two different support teams, etc. But this probably won't happen until the number of people migrating drops considerably. Two reasons for this: One, Cingular doesn't want to flood the stores with people wanting to migrate, and two, Cingular doesn't want to miss an opportunity to increase their ARPU.

True. I think the new plans are designed for people who like to send PIX and FLIX to other VZW customers for free too. I don't think these plans will benefit everyone, but they will benefit me. I send MP3 clips, pix and flix to my family members all the time. I've been paying $ 0.25 a pop each time but now I think I'll subscribe to a new package since it beats the $ 15 per month I spend already.

I think this will be great for people who use the SMS features on a regular basis I am not one of them. in fact I wish I could find a way to disable the SMS features on my phone |
