Re: Do you proofread texts before sending? Yes. With the amount of texts I send in an average year I can certainly afford to proof-read them. That being said, I don't do nearly as good a job prrof reading IMs and emails, which I send considerably more of in a typical day than I do texts in an average year.

Re: Do you proofread texts before sending? Only sometimes. Usually my texts are meaningless banter with other people, so I am not too concerned about grammatical errors.
If the text were important for some reason, I would proof it first.

Re: Do you proofread texts before sending? I know about the embarrassing ones... Like the time I tried voice texting, and I quickly rattled off "I'm having a uniform inspection tomorrow", then hit send only to find it sent "I'm having sex tomorrow"

Re: Do you proofread texts before sending? Was that uniform sex or inspection sex?

My most recent: I caught this one before sending. Writing my daughter that I was stuck
in traffic, came out "I was having sex in traffic"
But I didn't catch this one: texted a female co worker that I would swing by with my car and pick
her up at the hotel. Well I didn't catch that the 'P' got replaced by an 'L'
She was quite amused.
