Pretty lousy speed on big red... Via the Droid X (EV-DO Rev. A) from home, and they think this is suitable for the iPhone?

This is my wide range of Verizonicon 1x and Ev results. Oh, and the top is my 25/25 FiOS home service.
You might not guess it but the 59/124 is actually a 1x result, while the 15/19 result is Ev. Thats what happens when you run Ev at 1900 and 1x at 850. 850 always wins with a weak signal.

Wow... the speedtest app would fail when I try to use it on an 1x signal! I will get my 1st 4G test as the lawmakers and students converge on the capitol...

Yea, those speeds really don't count. It was just funny. That location has about a -100 850 signal and a -115 1900 Ev signal. So, I am happy to pull down any data there at all. Ev usually does just fine.

Yea, kind of surprising that I got it to work on 1x.

Here is my iPhone 4S AT&Ticon data speeds from NYC yesterday. The latest one is around noon near Columbia, upper Manhattan: 836Kbps down/949 up.

Seems faster than the Verizonicon iPhone speeds. Only one data point though.

The one below that is earlier in the morning from rural CT, about an hour away.

WOW. Was this when the other person in WI - your husband - was not logged on?

JK...very impressive speeds. My rural area in CT is not that fast...rural, but still somewhat crowded.
