In a Verizon 'dead zone' need a signal booster for use in and around my home - preferably wireless. Have heard that they are available on Ebay. Cany any one recommend a brand / model that is especially effective and reliable?

Depends on how much area you are looking to cover, what frequencies you need to cover and how strong the signal is outside the building. |

Signal varies - sometimes as much as 4 bars, but often fades to almost nothing, a lot of dropped calls, calls not received, or transmitted. I've been told by a Verizon tech that the signal in this area is 700 M but others tell me it should be 800 or 1900.

What square footage do you wish to cover, What is your RSSI reading outside. Bars mean nothing need an RSSI value.

Well the house is 3500 sqft - as for the RSSI value, I haven't a clue what that means or how to measure it! Maybe you can help - how would I assess that?
