I played around with it for a minute on a demo droid at a vzw store yesterday, looks pretty cool. I am still really uneasy about google maps right now though. Since they changed map data to their own info, a lot of it is inaccurate. Heck, in the engadget video review it even screws up.
I am happy with Sprint nav, at the moment.

I say, give it a few months for them to start working out the bugs, and I think they're on to something. I definitely understand your hesitation though...
