Have you called your carrier's technical support to see if they can assist you? They would be better able to help you with getting the data settings you need, as we do not have that information on this site. What U.K. carrier are you with?

If you have an unlocked non-carrier phone, sometimes getting the settings to work properly can be an adventure. If the support techs at 3 have assisted you as much as possible, I'm not sure what else to tell you. Try the WAP setting to see if this makes a difference. Also, this is an old phone from 2004/2005, which means it might not work well with current networks.

Hi mike Its a 3 branded phone it has not been unlocked I can launch the 3 browser but when I try to launch services from 3 a message appears saying 413:" Page cannot be displayed." If I do a google serch from the 3 browser to ebay I can get ebays home page but when I sign into ebay the same message then appears "413 Page cannot be displayed" I don't know. What does 413 mean? Thanks buddy Last edited by XBOXJOHN; 11-04-2009 at 8:45 PM. Reason: extra information |

| I'm beginning to think the age of the phone might be the cause. WAP and HTML browsing has changed on phones so much over the past 5 years, it's possible this phone isn't compatible anymore with 3's web access capability. Either that or you have a defective phone. Since it is a 3 branded phone and you have the corresponding data plan for internet access on the phone, it should be working, but as you are experiencing, it's not. Since you are in England and mobile service operates a little differently than it does in the U.S., I can only advise you based on my general cell phone knowledge and from the information you've provided. It sounds like you've done everything you can to make it work, but it's still a no go. I'd still give 3's tech support another call, as there's got to be away to make it work, unless the phone's age is the problem.
