Default Sanyo M1

Hello to all. I am new to this but I have read many of the prior posts. I have a question about a Sanyo M1 cell phone from Sprint. I would like to know if it is possible to get it to work for Verizon. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Wireless Advisor! The Sanyo M1 is still my favorite phone to date. I have one ready to go incase my current phone bites the dust. However, I do not believe that it is possible to get the M1 to work on any other carrier. Verizon has this open handset alliance thing going on, but I dont think it has actually started yet (if ever). Sorry, it's stuck on Sprint for now.

One more thing. The M1 can be activated on MetroPCS, in NON AWS service areas.

Unfortunately it's not as easy as it should be and not as simple as Verizon's "open" policy would lead you to believe.

It's more complicated than its worth.
