ok - hi all. it's been nice searching around this forum getting some answers for a lot of my questions. so i thought i'd pose one of my own. forgive me if someone answered these already, i've done some searching already... anway...long preface... so i'm ready to get a new phone. i'm on verizon currently, and am looking to stay since they have better coverage where i am than other companies (ie at&t). my biggest concern is getting a phone that works well - i mean, for me ... it's a phone and that's it's primary use. the other thing i'd really like to be able to do is sync w/ my google calendar, as that's what i use mainly for everything from personal calendars to work calendars...and i have several different categories / calendars for different things. so my question is, will the lg dare in fact sync it's calendar w/ my google calendar? do i need a service from verizon to make that work? is that where bitpim comes into play? and lastly...what exactly does bitpim do / etc? am i an idiot? haha... not sure if any of this makes sense. i'm fairly new to this...but i'd really love this to work. i'm not interested in spending a lot of money (either one time deal or monthly for that matter) but if it works well w/ my google calendar i'd be interested. anyone have any experience with this? thanks in advance for your help. paul |

ok - so i know much more about bitpim etc. looks like an awesome program. what i don't necessarily like (not the right word...) is that whenever i want to sync my dare calendar w/ my google calendar, i have to plug it into the computer and let it go from there. ideally i'd be able to read and write and the go, and have it also change my google calendar online while i'm "on the go." so is that just not a reality w/ something like the dare? will verizon's wireless sync take care of that for me? i'm really not all that interested in becoming a blackberry guy because i don't feel like they're quite as good of phones...but i guess i don't know that for sure... |
