Greetings! This is also happening to me, except I'm a Verizon customer, and the person I'm texting is an Altell client. Hopefully we get some answers!

Are you a new sub? it might be because of that or there might be something wrong with your phone. I would wait till maybe later tonight or tomorrow when someone with more knowledge then me replies, that's all I can think of, you might want to try and do a master reset or try turning your phone off and back on again. That's all I can really think about that might help solve the problem.

sounds like Verizon is having issues the their messaging center, I have seen with tmobile's coverage that issues between providers seem to be getting more rare but for some reason Verizon is constantly having these issues in some markets, Call Verizon, they should know if they have an issue going on, but not sure if there is anything you can personally do from your phone to resolve the issue, if your messaging is working in network than the settings are set up correctly and your phone is not the issue. Good luck

| Texts on my Alltel phone are never delayed. Only when I roam on Sprint is there a problem with a delay, Also 75% of the messages I ever send to Melissa's T-Mobile phone are at least 5-minutes delayed. Sometimes it takes many hours for her to recieve a pic, rarely is it on time. So overall I think T-Mobile and Sprint seem to have it the worst for text & pic message delays. I've never heard anything bad about VZW, Alltel or AT&T regarding text issues.

The main people I have problems texting are people on Verizon. Many times when I text someone from my Verizon phone, whether its sending to T-Mobile, AT&T, or Sprint it will take forever and a day. Feels like its Verizon's network here in Magnolia, but T-Mobile is usually sufficiently fast. IMHO.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8120/4.3.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100) I was actually thinking the same thing. But to me it would make sense that texts no matter which carrier would be sent without separate priority....? Then again messages inter carrier would have been thought to be sent and received faster than intra carrier.

From my experience, texts to and from VZW my be very quick or the can be delayed. Within the network, they are very fast unless the volume is very heavy (like at the stroke of Midnight on New Year's Eve.) I had a slew of texts from a friend in Shanghai arrive all at once. Some were 4 days late. Recently texts to and from VZW from Korea, China, and Taiwan have been fast. It seems to me that there are occasional network problems which delay transmission of texts.

Wirelessly posted (Samsung SCH-U900 FlipShot: SCH-U900/1.0 NetFront/3.0.22.2.9 (GUI) MMP/2.0) There is a company that is in charge of placing phone numbers in a certain database so there is no problem with and transmitting or recieving of massages. My wife was having trouble using google via text message. I researched and researched and found a number to call and the was told that her number would be added and messaging from google would work normally after so many days. And so it was, as they said. Now, this company had nothing to do with the google service. I will have to go back to my records and come back here to post the results. If anyone wants to check on my progress just IM me. Thanks, Kenn
