Default Setting up a Verizon phone for use with American Roaming Network

Don't know whether anyone's ever used the American Roaming Network where you pay a per call setup $2.99 and then pay $1.99 per minute unless you buy a PIN with airtime. I used to use it with AT&T and cingular networks by programming the NAM in the phone for the number 123-456-7890. I've reprogrammed both NAMs on my CDMA phone but it will not work.

TIA

Default Re: Setting up a Verizon phone for use with American Roaming Network

I have an inactive Motorola V325 and an inactive LG VX3300...

On my V325, if it's set to NAM1 (4040000000), I get an error recording stating that the mobile number is not active or invalid. If I force the phone onto an AllTel tower, I get the roaming network. Switching it to the other NAM (set to 0000003648 from the box), I get an Verizon recording and then I am transferred to American Roaming Network.

On the 3300, I am transferred to American Roaming Network after the Verizon recording on both NAMs. NAM1 is set to 4780000000 and NAM2 is set to all zeros. I am not sure what to tell you. If I am on an AllTel tower, I get the American Roaming Network immediately when I dial a number.
