| I just love the way the local TeeVee folk just simplify everything so people don't get the information that they may need. Here in Washington state a law is to go into affect on the 1st of July that says that you cannot talk on a cellphone while driving. A local TV station channel 4 KOMO has of course seized upon this. They had an "expert" telling us all about Bluetooth and how kewl it is and all. He of course failed to mention that you cannot use Bluetooth unless you have a compatible phone or use an adapter. The newzbit also didn't even mention that you could use a wired handsfree unit which is often even included with your phone when you buy it. This is of course the same reaction when there's an earthquake (as in China recently) where they'll talk it all up for about two weeks and then you'll hear bupkes about if til the next time an earthquake happens anywhere. |

| LMAO I hate the news because of things like that. I wouldn't doubt some people after seeing that went out and bought a bluetooth headset and tried it, didn't work so they went back to the store and soon realized that they're phone didn't support it. haha. I really don't watch the news anymore. Everytime i turn it on, its something that happened like a week ago and theyre still talking about it. |

| I understand your frustration with them not including the information about bluetooth compatible phones, etc. But I understand why they'd bring it up, one of my instructors at truck driving school was completely baffled by bluetooth. Another student and I were talking about BT, and she asked us what it was, and we explained that it was a way of wirelessly connecting devices. (I added similar to that of infrared, which confused here even more) She then asked how she got bluetooth, and did it cost her anything? She had a million questions, she was completely lost... ~*Ash*~

| These stories are sure causing a lot of calls for me, I get customers all the time that say the new law says you have to use BT, I explain no the laws say you have to be handsfree in your car, you are handsfree with the headset that plugs into your phone and if your phone supports BT that is a great option as well. People are confusing the news stories with the law, but hey it's easy to sell these folks on a new contract for an upgraded phone that has BT and then to sell them a BT headset. |
