Default Using Scandisk for music

I just bought a scan disk and an adapter to load music and play on my phone. Although it will let me and music from my computer to my Scandisk, when I put it back in the phone, the phone does not have any of the music. Do I need some sort of software for this? Or is there some other way to do this?
Thanks very much, ZJ88

Also what format is the music in, and is it protected?

It is a Verizon V3m Razor and the format is WMP or MP3 and they are not protected.

I wouldn't be surprised if Verizon's "Red Wall" is blocking them from appearing on your phone. Since the V3m has been around a while and was introduced before Verizon's "Open" policy was announced last fall, your RAZR is probably locked down to prevent anything other than VCast purchased music from appearing on it. This is just a guess, though.

I would have to say that is probably right.

That's what I thought it was called too, but I wasn't sure. Thanks for the clarification.

You still may be able to do it by using another music manager type program on your PC to convert your mp3 files to a format your phone will accept.

In my case, I convert mp3 files to AAC (mpeg-4) through iTunes. I was able to load several songs onto my Voyager phone through VCast Music Manager, which should be available for you with your RAZR (I'm guessing).

Ha..ha first ScanDisk, then SanDisk, and then MP3 player but phone couldn't do so. It's better to read manual book first, and i think no one ever got time to do it, including me
