That is one fancy microwave oven! Is the klystron extra though?
If you want a good cheap test chamber and want to make the wife happy,buy her a new microwave oven, then take your old microwave oven and add some finger-stocking on the door, maybe some extra copper screen on the window- VOILÀ a high frequency test chamber.
Another cheap trick- Want to know how good a dielectric constant something has at higher frequencies, say some plastic you want to use as a radome or foam to seal it?
Just put the material in the microwave and "cook it" five minutes then feel it to see if it feels warm.
The same test works well for circuit board substrates you might find on ebay to qualify them to use for RF prototypes.
