Default Metro PCS

Hello,

I wonder how metro PCS can offers unlimitted phone calls/minutes when the biggest companies out there like AT&T / Verizon, .... all have minutes based plans? Is there a catch?

Thanks

Andre

Well Metro PCS only covers a select number of major cities. If you are within one of their coverage areas you can have unlimited calls form any Metro PCS market. Metro PCS fills a niche and they attract customers because of their unlimited calling plans. Check out their website for a list of the areas the cover.

The bigger carriers, AT&T and Verizon are obviously at the top of this category, cover many cities, towns, highways, and such. These carriers usually do have minutes based plans but you enjoy nationwide coverage. Metro PCS covers only a few cities and they have a much smaller number of customers than the big carriers.

One reason can be that Metro PCS does not offer as much coverage as the bigger wireless companies.

If Metro didn't offer these plans they wouldn't be able to sign up anybody. They only do it because they have in order to compete with the big carriers.
