New way to use cell phones

I have a an idea on a new and different way cell phones can be used. I've talked tos ome very business savy and successful people and others and all said it was the greatest idea they have ever heard. However, I need to know how to start a small...very small service company to test the market. I also need to consult many of the very knowledgable people on this forum to help me understand how I could go about starting a small cell phone service. Help me understand whats needed and the right way start a service. I am confident I can get financial backing but need to understand what kind of cost I may be faced with. What problems I may face. And...if this idea comes to light, I will also need eople that I may need to hire for consulting, marketing research, etc. Please email me back if you can help me in any way possible.

I would do that in a heart beat if I knew the right road to go down. I heard that you cant protect or patent an idea???? If someone has any info on this issue, please letme know what I could do. I would love to talk about it openly in here. How do I go about protecting an idea???

I am not savy on how patents are fully done but I believe you would need to at a minimum write up the concept, that you can show to the patent office with how you would do such an idea. As for what process to go thru, it all depends on the idea you may have to do this as an MVNO with a carrier such as Sprint, Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile maybe even a regional carrier to try it small.
Also depending on the idea you would want to know if it will work on either or both different carrier technologies.
