I have a contract with AT&T (the old cincular) and the phone that I had broke. I had no insurance on the phone so I bought a refurbished one on e-bay. The phone that I bought was unlocked so apparently all I was supposed to have to do was put in my sim card for activation. I did---it didn't! The phone says that the network can't be found and I have no signal and in turn no phone. What can I do?

Well apparently your phone is not unlocked I would get a hold of the person you bought that from. Also have you tried taking it out and putting it back in to make sure there is contact with the SIM card. Make sure all the ports are clean.

What brand/model is the replacement phone? The phone might be unlocked, but not have the 850 Mhz band.

| The replacement phone is a Motorola t722i...I'm sure the phone is a "little older" but seriously, I'm a stay at home mom so don't use it that much...don't care about all of the new tech

| Thise phone are known to be some what finiky with the network on the 850 band and seem to to want to camp on the 1900 and some aof the earlier models of it actualy came out with no 850 band in them. If this is the case with this one, and your area is an 850 band area the return of it to you will be the same. Double check with the seller that it is a dual band version (850/1900).
