Alright I am sure this has been asked before I just wanted to do a pole and see what is more important to everyone here. Also please discuss this as well. I am just wondering what feature is most important when it comes to your mobile phone service.

I don't know that I would call voice a "feature," it being the primary reason for a mobile device in the first place. I chose SMS/MMS because I use so many messages when I'm at work and can't talk on the phone... I still think voice is more important, however.

I said voice... most of us wouldn't be with our companies if the voice/network quality was a mess. Besides that, I'd say that messaging is the next important feature. I don't care for email since I hardly do that. I wish that the people I know had MMS capabilities on their phones.

For me it's voice, I personally don't care about music or email (at this time) & I don't use Data services. 2nd would be SMS since I like to use that when I can't talk or be online, but it's not that important to me, it's a pain sometimes with the keypad typing so that may be why too. |

Nturally voice is the most important although I agree it should not be considered a feature, if I have lousy voice quality and dropped calls than all the other features are meaningless.I text a lot so that would be second for me.

I voted for Voice as that is my primary reason for owning a cell phone.

Recently, I have been more and more interested in the Data side of things, but when it comes down to it, Voice quality and reliability is most important for me, then Text Messaging, then Data.

I mean, if they have good data service...chances are the voice probably works well in that area. Email is #1 feature, but I consdier it a handset item, not network. The data network is the service provider function that is most important to me. |

RF is also important to us, but after that all we want is a telephone. We take care of business and get off.

Voice is the most important, I like to play with all the crap that comes on phones today, but get bored very quickly with it. Then I realize why I have a phone in the first place. Voice. |

| I'm with you. Voice was there before anything else and it's why I keep a phone. I dumped everything else off.

Voice is most important to me. 90% of our carrier's bread and butter still comes through voice subscriptions although that percentage will erode away as data features get more popular among the average mobile crowd. As a Blackberry user for work, email is probably 2nd. I spend very little time browsing the web and I could care less about the ability to bluetooth a picture from my pc to my phone. I've noticed especially within the last year, I've fielded very few phone calls from colleagues. Everyone just emails eachother. They praise you, scold you, fight with you - all through email! Mobile email through Blackberry devices has changed the workforce tremendously. Many corporate employers that are not directly involved with customer care are shifting away from the whole "your late," philosophy as users are now much more accessible than ever before. Answering your email or sending me a report from your car or bed is acceptable to me as long as I get the information I need. 1) Voice 2) Email 3) SMS 4) MMS

Voice is the number one thing for my service. But taking into account that I have a Blackvberry I say email is also very important as that is the reason I got the BB. I voted voice but as a real feature, then the Email is the number one choice.

Well, I just bought the new LG VX 8700, it is a very nice phone. I became so tired of that clumbsy Razor. This phone is however completely Digital and in some areas lik MONTANA where the Digital towers are hard to come by the voice quality is less than perfect. But everywhere else I recieve the highest quality Voice I have ever heard. Yes it has all the features that the Razor had but it is very comfortable to hold and to use. But as I stated I grow bored with ringtones and music on my phone when I have better ways to listen to music than on the phone. But for the Voice for now I still vote it the nuber one thing.

Basically all of the above, I buy a phone for the features the manufacturers put in, not for the features the cell company want me to have.

-Obviously Voice quality (the network itself) is the most important since it is my phone. -Second to that is data capabilities. I use my broadband access daily. -And tied with that is messaging. Im sending and receiving 3500/mo on average. -Battery life on a phone is somewhat important but the way I see it, if a full charge makes it through the day, its a good battery. I dont whine about my battery not lasting 5 days like some people do. |
