Default Any ideas

I need some help, I am finding problems in setting up my wireless network for a past two weeks and at present I have wireless adaptor installed in my desktop and can view my router/SSID. On trying to bond signal strength and quality links are showing 100% but the connection normally shows 'acquiring network address' like it cannot consign an IP. I have checked the router settings and DHCP is establish to automobile transfer domestic IPs. I have WPA-PSK enabled but no MAC speech filtering. I have tried altering between g/b style and on there own, distinct channels etc but this has made no disagreement. Also get tried simply using WinXP to config the link but have pretty often the same outcome. This is causing me severe headaches, as is the second lot of kit I have tried to setup for radio after returning some draft N (yes its unquestionably yet draft) equipment. Am not certain what is preventing the link, any ideas

Did you try in internet explorer:
Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections -> LAN Settings -> Check "Automatically Detect Settings"

Welcome to WA.

First, you are not getting an IP address, so WPA encryption should not be the problem at this point. You are not getting to the point of entering the password. You can turn WPA off until everything else is working, though.

In addition to what esto suggested, try bringing up a command window (Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt) and typing: ipconfig /release
When this completes, type: ipconfig /renew

This tells Windows to acquire a new IP address, regardless of what Internet Explorer is doing. If there is a wireless DHCP source, this should either work or give you an error message that may provide a clue.

Let us know how it works out.

Actually, if WPA in this aspect is like WEP, if you typed the wrong Key into your machine it can't decode the DHCP packets or for that matter encode packets correctly to acquire an address. What you may want to do is disable WPA, WEP, etc. See if everything works correctly then re-enable and make sure you put in the EXACT key, ie kEY is not the same as Key or KeY or keY

Would seem to me you may have enabled the option to only allow certain MAC Addresses on your network, disable that if you find it enabled.
