I live in the 94066 area

I currently have a pay as you go sim card from T-Mobileicon right now - no contracts

I use free wifi hotspots to surf the net

I'd like a plan that has cellular and unlimited cellular internet

It's a bit confusing on the net as to which plans qualify for what I need. T-Mobileicon says 50 bucks for unlimited data and 20cents per minute for voice. How do I know that there isn't a cheaper plan out there that works on my phone? Some data/voice plans are really cheap like 30 bucks, but you have to have a 2 year contract and you have to use their branded phone. I already own a pocket pc/phone and I'd like to use it instead of using another phone just to save money. Does anyone know what plan works with my phone?

Just got back from Cingular in downtown San Fran on Market. I asked the salesman what the cheapest data and voice plan would be for my phone. He said 2 year contract - 80 bucks. He didn't go into much detail - like what is the name of the plan and such.

Does this seem kind of high to you?

I even asked him how much would it be with a Cingular branded phone and he said the price would be the same.

Tmobileicon's unlimited dataplan is $29. It includes access to their hotspots as well. Cingular charges more depending on the device you hook up to the net. A smartphone is $20, a PDA is $39, and laptop tethering is more. As practical matter, you can do some laptop tethering on the PDA plan, but you can't go crazy.

Tmobileicon is only EDGE, but I think your unit is only EDGE. For basic browsing, remember that Tzones are included in most Tmobileicon plans.

    Thanks for your reply

I plan on going right across the street to Tmobileicon and get a quote from them
