Can I put my sim card in any unlocked cell phone?

Yes., as long as the phone uses the same technology your sim card was activated for. In other words, if your service provider uses GSM (Cingular, T-Mobile, etc...), you would need a GSM phone. If your service provider uses iDEN (Nextel), you would need a phone that supports iDEN.
