Well i just purchased a brand new RAZR off eBay. It is unlocked. The brand of the cell phone is cingular. I am in Canada and am going to be using Rogers Wireless. I have bought a Rogers Sim Card. I was wondering if when i turn the phone on will it still say Cingular or will the Sim Card make it say Rogers. If it says Cingular how can i brand it to have Rogers Features. Thanks! =)

If it's unlocked and you put in a ROGERS SIM it will say ROGERS when it's powered on. You may have problems with data features unless you can have the correct settings sent to your phone by ROGERS or by Moto.

If you mean at boot up, it will still say Cingular, you can get some files from the motox forums and you can unbrand it and tehn use it as a regular unlocked GSM phone. As to teh Rogers may be some one might have the branding flex for it.

How would I go about getting them to send me the new settings?

Well those are forums involved in Moto phones. They have files in there where you would need to download to your PC and from there use your PC to load those files to the phone. This involves a lot of reading, and if you are not ready for that that I would say find a moto service center and see if they will do it for you.

I know quite a lot about Flashing files to system'. I've done a lot of work with PSP flashing. If you have a link to a site where i can read up on things like this please link. Thanks again for the fast response
