That's cool, hopefully this will get people to think about letting towers get put up even if they do have to disquise them.
I like the house with the equipment in it & the light house is really awsome.

Yea, the lighthouse and house are sweet!!!! I wish i had a fake house like the one in the video. But wasn't there more carrier's on it than just Verizon, because I saw about 3 sets of panels, unless it's for capacity...

It sure seemed like more then 1 carriers equipment in the building (house) & with 3 sets of antenna's on the tower, I am sure it's more then just 1 carrier.

A few comments:

HAHA, they said 'starting to disguise sites' like it hasn't been going on for nearly 10-15 years. The difference is that more of the sites being built today is in the 'harder' places. The simple zoning locales already have sites, except for lower priority coverage. It is more stringent zoning regulations that are driving this. Like John Johnson said, "If we diguise them all you couldn't afford your phone service"

The VZW site in Arlington has been there for at least 10 years and has 2 others, but I can't recall which ones. I'll drive by next week and check it out. I haven't been there in at least 6 years.

The church is the Sixth Presbyterian on 16th and Kennedy in NW DC. It overlooks Rock Creek Parkway and there are 5 carriers all on seperate levels jsut like a tower but this is using stairs and platforms inside. My crews built the legacy blue site that is 2nd from the top. They church actually gets about 8k/month in total from that site and the construction costs were paid 100% by the carriers. It's an area where you would not get a tower built and the buildings are a bit short. Here's a sat photo of the site...

It is in a neighborhood where people bought homes on similar lots that were of similar size (old Craftsman homes, for those familiar) and razed the structure to build McMansions. I would venture a guess that the median home price on that street is over $1M. Yes, that's million. A friend lives a few blocks over and is part of the same community. It's called North Arlington.

That's a neat house... I remember the first "tree" I saw in Decatur, GA. Anyone who saw that thing knew that it was not a tree. It's nice to know that "trees" are not the only way of camoflaging a site

NokiaKrazy: Is your avatar Mt. Washington? The dish in the front is obviously an RFS radome, but it looks like one of the Rohn 65G shorties on top of Mt. Washington, NH. Not many sites get that sort of radial ice.

Wasn't there some giant, rotating shaft in Lisa's room? I'm no expert on wireless tower configurations, but I highly doubt a large, rotating shaft is required by any of them. Still, it was a pretty funny episode.

Sadly, all we have around here are boring flag poles. No "trees," no "cacti" and no "buffalo."

No, I think that's when they had a oil rig on top of their house.

Nope. It is Frisco Peak, Utah. This tower belongs to the Highway patrol.
