Hi all im new here so be gental, i curently have two computers networked together via a patch/crossover cable now that workes fine for my needs, but now i need to incorporate a wifi connecting. I wona keep my crossover conection as its working well, and the cable is berried in the wall, so whats the best setup and what equipment would i need.

Your best bet is a cheap wireless router, these usually go for 50 bux, if you have DSL/Cable this will immensely improve things...

Furthermore the crossover cable you have currently will work, but, you will have to cut one end off and do a 1 to 1 cable, it's really not that hard and you can probably call one of your local pc buddies chances are they will have a crimping tool, if not borrow one from your local pc shop. Seriously, tell em what you gotta do, recrimp one cable that's already burried, and offer to give em a deposit if they are hesitant. That would be your best way to go.

DrGizmondo - Shawn (nKrypteD1) seems to understand your question better than I did. What I can suggest is that you read through the following threads in the Wireless Data and Internet forum (the appropriate place for such things), where we went over a lot of the fundamentals. If you still have questions, post over there and we will try to help.
