I bought two Nokia 1600's for my Aunt and Uncle. They travel frequently around the southeast and a recent illness will require much more travel unfortuantely. They live in Myrtle Beach, SC, so I wanted GSM for two reasons (Coverage on Cingular is the best there, long battery life). I chose XE Mobile. The minutes are good for a year and the phones were cheap (buy 1, get 2nd at 50% off). I'm just wondering if I should have got the Motorola c139 over the Nokia 1600. The only difference seems to be the Nokia has a speakerphone (?) and poly ringtones, and the Moto has a better screen! The difference would be $15. I know Nokias are supposed to be easier to use, but I really don't think they are. Plus, I find Moto's to have that 'feature' where you hear your own voice in the earpiece like a landline...which may be good for relative cell phone newbies. www.xemobile.com Nokia 1600: 39.99 2nd @ 20.00 Total: 59.99 Moto C139: 29.99 2nd @ 15.00 Total: 44.99 I really wanted the Nokia 6061's, but for some reason my local FYE store didn't even have one. I figured a flip would be the easiest, oh well. |

As much as I like Moto, the C series phone are not the greatest. They seem to have lots of software problems and are made with very cheap plastic. Go with the Nokia, they may have the same plastic feel but they work well. To bad XE dosn't have data/wap. I would dump Speakout right now.
