Default cell phone coverage website

Is there a website out there that can tell me if a carrier has bad coverage in a certain area or zipcode? I was wondering if customers could go and report areas where bad coverage exist for thier cell phones- kinda of like reporting good and bad gas prices for certain gas stations.

It's better than nothing in my opinion, but if you know of a better site, please enlighten us. I know there's some more but I don't have them bookmarked and a quick google turned up nothing.

Exclamation Re: cell phone coverage website

The other site that people are going to mention also stinks, but it has a slick look that makes you think the info. is good. I'm not going to mention the name.

The reason the info. stinks is that carriers are quickly and continously adding towers in most areas. That is also why it is a bad idea to focus on dead zones. Focus on where YOU need GOOD coverage, not where there is bad coverage. If you want to know about the quality of coverage in the areas that you care about, post a question with details in our regional that matches your section of the country.

learn how to use this site. it is the one wilson electronics prefers. all you need is the zipcode and then a little info on how to tell what groups of towers provide best coverage...i.e 800mhz vs 1900 mhz.

it's all right here on this site...,

Also the only 2 companies that I know of that will give you street coverage are T-Mobile and now Cingular, you can't report lack of coverage in an area with them, but it is helpful on checking to see if your phone will work in certain areas.

If you are interested in either T-Mobile or Cingular their websites have the most detailed coverage maps you can find on the internet.

For Cingular, stop by the "Cingular Wireless Users" forum in this site to get the web address.
