Default Last ditch effort with Retention

What have others been recently offered by retention?

I am looking for a plan for 2 phones, whether they are shared or not, it is not critical. I'd like to spend around $60 a month for both phones and get a total of 1200 anytime minutes with unlimited N&W and unlimited PCS2PCS. I have been offered this plan twice in the past by retention, then to be told the rep who offered it was incorrect and mistaken.

I am giving them one last chace to retain my business. Hopefully I win the lotto and get a rep that is helpful.

your asking way to much for 60 bucks. Might as well go to another carrier. Im willing to bet you still are not going to find that kind of deal with someone else. Also as many times as you have called in wanting stuff, youve probably been flagged and probably not going to get what you want, regardless who you talk to. Also there is no such retention plan that you seek...if there was, don't you think you would have got it? So a rep told you something that she thought she could do, and wasn't able to....you called back to find out she was wrong, but your still wanting something that was offered in error, something thats simply not avail. I think its time to move on...1) go with a ret plan that they can give you, 2)go with one of there holiday plans 3) leave sprint

I am not looking for recommendations or opinions here. All I want to know is what others have received from retention. Thanks

What one person rec'd from retention may not be something the next person gets. It depends on who you speak with in that department.

Seems like you are on a hunting expedition so that you'll have something else to attempt to ask for when you call retention back..............again!

I think it's time for karmannghia to change carriers. I doubt he will ever be happy with Sprint. I'm happy with my standard plan and will not ask for anything more. I think if you're not happy with what they can offer you in a standard (non-retention) plan then it's time to leave. Of course that's just my 2 cents.

Sorry. I thought forums were for discussion of information.

I am just asking a very simple question and all that I have received is opinionated garbage. If you think it is getting old, why waste your time replying to it. If you can't help, please don't respond.

Here is my help- check www.google.com and search alt.cellular.sprintpcs for retention . You'll see many many posts of plans. The same applies on www.sprintusers.com
Retention seems to have changed much since it was the big topic everyone was talking about so I don't know how relative what other people have gotten will be.

Default Last ditch effort with Retention

I really hate this type of thread to be honest with you....what people fail to realize is retention will make offers based on the type of customer a person is. Just because one person got something, doesn't mean the next will. period. Also dislike this type of thread because it creates false churn and customer dissatisfaction...for example some one reads on a forum about a great ret plan that someone else got..they call in and threaten to cancel, and get mad because they were not able to get what someone else got, and now they are upset with the carrier, while in the past they might have been perfectly happy. Also what some people don't realize is a carrier will only make 1 or 2 retention offers to a person within a certian time frame...after that they wont offer you nothing and just cancel you..

Also people dont realize that if a carrier looses a customer, the carrier isn't going to lose any sleep over the matter. Retention is there to help "retain" you as a customer, it shouldnt be used as a <u>"lem'me see if I can get a better plan!"</u>
Good thing I dont work in customer service because I would have been told him....bye; and hope you find happiness elsewhere.

Why do you think retention exists?? Because Sprint can't afford to lose customers. It is a part of their business plan. They approached me to stay, I didn't approach them for a better plan. But since they offered, damn right I am going to get the best plan possible that works best for me. They are a business trying to retain my money, and in order to do that, they need to offer me something enticing enough not to switch to another carrier. Where this other carrier can give me as good if not better plans, free phones and MUCH MUCH better customer service.

Without retention, I believe Sprint would be hit pretty hard. I know at least 7 people in my family would have left. If retention did not exist, I'll bet a lot of higher ups at Sprint would be losing sleep and revamping their resumes.

First of all, sprint would not be hit very hard if retention did not exist. Customers on retention plans make up only a small percentage of its overall customer volume. I really hope you do get what you are asking for with that department. But if you dont, then maybe it is time for you to move on. Sprint is not for everyone, just like verizon is not for everyone and so on and so on.......

Usually when people call retention, its usually (but not always) because they are already upset with the service. They can offer you a plan with more minutes for less money. But wouldnt that just aggravate you more since you will be using more of a service that is stressing you out in the first place?

Unless I am wrong, I thought the retention department was reached after you have threatened to cancel service.....a CSR says hold on, then you are speak with someone in retention. So based on what you have just said, they contacted you?
